Thrill City Manhattan, New York

KRS-One & Saul Williams compose Ocean Within. Metaphors relating the city to an amusement park are versed. Being from Ohio, where the #1 amusement park in the world is located and having lived in the city-I can relate.
...a major city/ laden with concrete, metal, advanced modes of transportation/ shining buildings and fenced in parks.
...too many people live in the city struggling day to day for mere existence/
...cities are like amusement parks with high prices and temporal satisfaction/

Below is the link to the song and the lyrics to the full verse.
Intellect is like a major city
Laden with concrete, metal
Advanced modes of transportation
Shining buildings, and fenced in parks
Spirit is the mountains’ forest wilderness
and vast countryside that surrounds it
Too many people live in the city
Struggling day to day for mere existence
Most have forgotten how to live off the land
They only experience nature on class trips
and short-term vacations
For those that live in the country
Cities are like amusement parks with high prices
and temporal satisfaction
At the end of the day, they are tired
and ready to go home, and relieve their ringing ears

The Vintage Men's Kit [Shoe Shine]

To polish:
Remove laces, scrub with brush to loosen particles on shoes then wipe clean with damp cloth. Scrub with brush and apply cream or liquid polish. Smooth on until desired shine is achieved. Brush again. Apply thin coat of wax on the toe and heel of shoe, smooth with water for "spit shine" effect.

Tips + Tricks:
To add character to lighter colored shoes polish the toe and or heel with darker polish. Fade into actual color by smoothing and brushing frequently. Use damp cloth to blend as needed.

For an antique look, polish darker brown shoes with black liquid or solid polish every other polish.

Greene Street NYC

After visiting Yellow Korner Soho I left inspired by photography. Luckily, I had my camera and was surrounded by Cast Iron and Cobblestone. Walking Greene Street I snapped a couple shots of some of the historic architectural structures the neighborhood has to offer.

One-Size Fits Most [Footwear] + Cultural Dress

I was given these slippers during a stay in Chinatown. I stayed in a hostel where one size fits most clearly did not include 12/13. For some reason I kind of liked them-they remind me of the Tom’s Shoes brand.

Another guilty pleasure I have is the cultural dress of muslin women. When I see them walking through cities everything draped, black and flowing-I have to stare as long as I can before it gets too weird. To me-there is a mystery to their cultural dress and I am sure I will be taking a closer look in the future.

Park Avenue View

Gloria Gaynor's Park Avenue Sound [1978] Cover Art depicts and arial view of Manhattan's Park Avenue highlighted. A photo I had taken on Park Avenue felt like an extension of this cover art.
