Jogging in Central Park [hoping to see Thom Browne] my eye caught the artistry of Soho Artist James De La Vega. I was fortunate enough to meet him as he was authoring quotes in chalk along Central Park paths. Some of my favorites are listed below.

Growing up, the only thing I loved more than the Huxtables from The Cosby Show was their real estate. Little known fact: footage of the brownstone home of the family, even though based in Brooklyn is a Manhattan residence in the west village [10 Leroy].

Culture-Real [Cultural] Dress

Came across this picture of two of my friends from college on Facebook. They were in Miami for Spring Break. No ethnocentrism here.

My parents have Leroy Campbell originals back home [Ohio]. As I developed this entry something tied me back to this artists' work I grew up with. Both images show the mixing of African Cultural and Western Dress. [Above-Ray Ban's with dashiki, Below-African Pattern neckwear paired with jacket and fedora.]
